Father Andrew Sacayan Hernandez was born on October 23,1971 in Manila, Philippines, to the late Bienvenido Ramos Hernandez and Elizabeth Sacayan Hernandez.  He is the oldest of three siblings; sister, Monica Hernandez Cada and brother, Fr . Misael Sacayan Hernandez, is also a priest. Father Hernandez is from the Diocese of Lucena in Quezon Province in the Philippines. He was ordained September 8, 1997, the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He was a Spiritual director at the Diocesan College Seminiary of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Seminary, Lucban Quezon and full time school chaplain at the Sacred Heart College, Lucena City. Father arrived at the Diocese of Rockford and was assigned as a parochial vivar at Holy Angles Church in Aurora. He was assigned as a parochial vicar to The Church of the Holy Apsotles ( 2019-2021).
